[WGF:13] The Lowest Highest Point
By now of course we’ve all heard that Lesotho has the highest lowest point of any country in the world. But which country has the lowest highest point? It’s The Maldives.
Made up of a series of atolls located about 250 miles SW of India, it is essentially the flattest country in the world. Totaling approximately 115 square miles with a population of 396,334 people, it is the 11th most densely populated country at 2,686 people per square mile, just behind Bahrain at number 10, with 2,946 people per square mile.
Cabinet members recently made a statement about climate change and the impact of the rising sea level by signing a document calling for reduced carbon emissions – underwater.
