[WGF:3] The Highest Lowest Point

I recently had the privilege of chatting with someone who spent a year serving in Lesotho. It turns out that this little anomaly of a country within a country is actually pronounced Lesutu (rhymes with tutu). I was more surprised than I would care to admit.

My embarrassment faded in light of this next revelation that was offered: Lesotho is the highest country in the world. WAIT, you say, I thought Nepal was the highest country in the world. As did I, my friend. As. Did. I.

What makes Lesotho so special is that the lowest point in Lesotho is – wait for it – higher than the lowest point of any other country in the world.

There you have it. The highest lowest point.
